Cover Letter - Paragraph 2

Today on Lets Get Working I will be discussing the second paragraph of our cover letter. We will look at the what, why and how?

The second paragraph is all about selling yourself to the business and telling them what your skills and character are like.

For example:

I love helping people and excelling at whatever I put my hand to. My 5 years experience in doing this same job well overseas will be an asset to you and your business. I have many letters of appreciation I have received from my previous customers that I am willing to show you.

A little bit of a teaser/taster does not go astray either!

Its really important to match your skills and character to the job you are applying for. In this particular case, this guy has to work with customers to see what they want and make sure he does it for them. He also has to do a good job so that their wheels don’t fall off.

Next week we will look at paragraphs 3 and 4.
