Today on Lets Get Working I would like to talk to you about creating lasting change.
I have recently become a fan of Anthony Robbins and in his book Awaken the Giant Within he talks about how to create lasting change.
There are three steps to creating lasting change. They are:
Step 1 - Raise Your Standards
By changing what you demand of yourself and writing down what you no longer accept or tolerate in your life.Write down all the things you want to become.For example: “I no longer accept myself being lazy and sleeping all day. I am going to apply for 1-2 jobs or send my resume to 1-2 cold called businesses. I want to be an employed person not a pension recipient.
Step 2 - Change Your Limiting Beliefs
Your mind will fight you every step of the way. What is possible and what is impossible, what we can do and what we can't do.You have to believe you can do it. You have to believe you can do it before you actually do it.
Step 3 - Change Your Strategy
You need to find a way to accomplish your goal (change) and to do this you may have to change the way you do things. If the way you are doing something is not getting you the results you want, then you need to find a way. Talk to friends and family and see if they can help you.
Find a role-model who is already working and ask them how they got their job.
