Today on Lets Get Working I would like to share some more tips that may help you find a job.
Learn new skills - learning a new language or software program can allow you to apply for different work.
Research – where the vacancies are and what jobs to Apply for.
Sell yourself – specific resumes are required for different jobs. Sending out the same resume will give you the same response.
Use social networking – let your friends and family know you are looking for a job, you never know who may be looking to hire staff.
Talk to a recruitment agency – they specialise in different areas. Get to know the consultant and follow them up weekly. The more they see you, the more they’ll remember you.
Share with friends – brainstorm strategies, plans and advice who are also looking for jobs
Act straight away – when you get a job lead, apply straight away. First in, first to get the job, if you are the right candidate.
Don’t let a lack of experience discourage you - skills and abilities are an important match for a job even if you don’t have experience.
Don’t give up – keep yourself occupied with other things to stay positive and motivated.
