Hi, welcome again to Lets Get Working. Today I would like to tell you about the importance of Networking in finding employment.

What is Networking?
Networking occurs with all the people you know. They can be associates, friends, family, neighbours. You may know them through sport participation, school, volunteer work, employment, social cubs, facebook, doctors, counsellors etc.

Why Network?
By telling people that you come in contact with that you are looking for a job. The contact may know of a job going at their place of employment and hand in your resume or tell you the name and phone number to contact in regards to a job.

80% of jobs are got through networking (word of mouth) and cold calling which we will look at next week.
