Online Job Agencies

Today on Lets Get Working, I would like to talk about Online job agencies. Here in Australia we have such sites as, Seek, CareerOne, Government Job Search, to name a few.

It is very hard to know who the companies are that are advertising as more often than not, they go through a job agency themselves, who advertises the job for them and recruits the people for them also.

Although it is very easy to apply for these jobs through the online agencies as most only require your name, phone number, and for you to attach your cover letter and resume. Most agencies receive thousands of enquiries a day and so the chance of you getting an interview is much like winning the lottery.

Even though it may be easy to apply for these jobs, I would recommend that you only spend a small amount of your time doing so and work more on the cold calling and networking.
