Welcome again to Lets Get Working. I have decided to start once again from the beginning. Today we are going to be looking at Resume’s.

Your resume has to have your:

Name

Address

Phone number

Email address.

Career Objective:
For example: I am wanting to work as part of a team in the area of retail.

Employment History:

Start from the most recent place of employment and work back from there.

Write the name of the business, suburb and state

Month and year you started and finished your employment

The job title

Tasks you performed

Achievements – eg. Employer of the month

Education:

Certificates – most current going back 5-7 years

Licenses

RCG/RSA

Only put education that is relevant to the job

Affiliations:

Clubs/associations relevant to the job.

Referees:

Past employer/manager

Family friend/school teacher

Neighbour

Layout tips:

Print on white paper

Print only on one side.

Subtle border

Have different resumes for different jobs.
