Retail Interviews Tips
Friday, October 11, 2013Welcome to Lets Get Working. Over the weekend I went out to my local shopping centre for breakfast.
An employer was sitting a couple of tables over holding job interviews their!
The position she was interview for was Retail – Clothing for the Christmas and January period.
The types of questions she was asking were as follows:
What do you know about the company? Will you be available for all of the Christmas and January period? How was the customer service experience like for you when you have gone into that store yourself? What aspects of customer service do you feel are important? I am not sure how the applicant answered as she spoke a lot more quietly than the interviewer. However, the applicant didn’t ask any questions at all and she left rather quickly.
My tips to you if you plan to apply for retail positions, are:
Make sure you know about the shop you are applying for. Research them on the net as well as visit the shop in person, if you can.Brush up on how to treat customers and know your stuff. Also, ask at least 1 question of the interviewer as it shows that you show initiative and drive.Until next time,
Enjoy the journey!
Martha!
