Skill 2 – Communication
Thursday, November 27, 2014This week on Lets Get Working I would like to talk about communication in an interview and on the job.
Communication covers talking, listening, writing and reading.
It is very important to know who your audience is and how you intend to talk to them. Will you be speaking to a group of professionals or a group of peers.
Are you prepared to listen with an open mind to learn new ideas or will you have a closed mind and not really be concentrating to what is being said.
If you have to answer some written questions are you able to understand the way they want the question answered and can you write the answer concisely (getting to the point without rambling) and correctly.
It is important to practise communicating correctly wherever you can as the more practise you have, the more comfortable you will be in an interview and on the job.
